Diane Konsella has more than 40 years of claim experience, with over 25 years with the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund.  For the past 11 years as Vice President of Operations and Services for Wausau MedMal Management Services, she has directed the handling and resolution of medical malpractice and general liability claims for the Wisconsin Health Care and Liability Insurance Plan and medical malpractice claims for the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund. She understands the intricacies of the medical and legal issues surrounding these claims, making her an invaluable resource for our clients.

Experience

Diane began her career at Wausau Insurance Companies as a Field Claim Adjuster handling general liability, worker’s compensation, property, and medical malpractice claims. She moved steadily into higher positions of responsibility as regional liability claim supervisor and liability claim supervisor overseeing general liability claims in California and New York. From that grounding in insurance claim experience, she moved to managing high exposure claims for the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund, culminating her experience at Wausau Insurance/ Liberty Mutual as Malpractice Claim Manager. She managed a team of supervisors responsible for managing and resolving medical malpractice and general liability claims for the Wisconsin Health Care and Liability Insurance Plan and medical malpractice claims for the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund.  Diane earned a Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point.
